COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (August 22, 2005) – E-magine Technologies (www.emaginetech.com) announced today ESP - the Electronic Survey Presentation system. ESP is a system that allows users to define surveys through a desktop-based system and to deploy these surveys to be delivered on Windows Mobile, PocketPC or WindowsCE handheld computers. Surveys, interviews, tests and other data gathering type applications can all be implemented with ESP. This system allows surveys to be created and deployed without the need for programming assistance or modification. Surveys can be created using a variety of question types (single select, multi-response, numeric keypad, etc) and using various branching or skip patterns. In addition, ESP supports the use of item rotation as well as the delivery of cards (or modules) to present each user with a subset of the total survey.
ESP consists of 2 main modules – Desktop and Handheld. The desktop software allows you to set-up and maintain your survey. Items can be added, moved, deleted, etc., until the survey fits your needs. The survey is then validated to ensure that all of the information in it is correct and ready for deployment to a handheld PC. The Handheld ESP software delivers the survey to the user. The survey can either be read by an employee or read directly by the respondent. Security to the survey on the handheld device is controlled via login to the application. Data is collected on the handheld device and then aggregated in a central location for analysis according to the user’s specific needs and requirements. Data can be mapped within surveys for back-end collection across multiple surveys.
Availability
Available from E-magine Technologies in limited release now and for general availability October 1, 2005, ESP supports Windows 2000 and Windows XP for the desktop software and Windows Mobile 2003 Handheld devices. The ESP system includes an installation CD and a manual as well as a user guide.
